Lunch Club

This community meal initiative brings together local people to enjoy a healthy, sociable two course meal cooked by members of the Square Food Foundation’s ‘Back in the Kitchen’ cooking club for over 55s. All ages welcome.

Cooking Connections – Beginnings

This sociable group teaches basic cooking skills to individuals with learning disabilities, mental health issues, or educational needs. Delicious, healthy food will be cooked from scratch and healthy eating principles are emphasised throughout. The group aims to encourage development of both personal and social skills, as well as offering progression pathways through volunteering or work placements.

Cooking Connections – Next Steps

This sociable group aims to inspire a love of cooking in adults with learning disabilities, mental health issues, or educational needs. Ideal participants include individuals who have a passion for food and some cooking skills. The group will provide opportunities to cook a variety of dishes, develop kitchen techniques, and boost social skills. It also offers progression pathways through volunteering or work placements, including possible work experience in a cafe environment. Participants may be able to attend if they have not completed the Cooking Connections ‘Beginner’ group, with further information available from Square Food Foundation.
