For Time To Talk Day we’ve created a special Head Count series asking Arriva North West commuters how they feel from 0-5, to show we all have mental health and our own ways of staying well.

Here’s our interview with Emily, 20 from Sheffield who is studying Law at The University of Liverpool.

Hello Emily, how are you feeling today from 0 to 5?

A 4. I went out last night, so that’s why it’s not a 5 because I’m feeling a little more rough than normal!

Where are you travelling to?

Just back home.

What do you do to stay mentally well?

I try to go to the gym. I feel better when I go, but then sometimes I just can’t be bothered to go for a few weeks.

Could you recommend us a book, film or band?

The last book I’ve read was ‘The Tattooist of Auschwitz’ by Heather Morris. It’s not very happy, but a really good book. It was about this guy who worked in Auschwitz as a tattooist, and how he got out and how he helped people.
