Forensic science student David Pennington caught up with us to talk about plans after uni, what he is listening to at the moment and things he does to keep mentally well.

So your full name?

David Pennington.

Um just go home and get back in bed until I go out later, yeah and I might go for some drinks around here with some mates.

Fantastic. And what are you studying at the moment?

Forensic Science.

And how are you finding that?

Yeah its alright its not too bad, its better than what I expected it to be so.

Forensic Pathology.

Cool, what are you listening to, watching and reading at the moment?

I’m reading a book by Dr Dick Sheppard about Forensic Pathology, he’s the one who autopsied Whitney and everyone, and I’m listening to a lot of stuff at the moment, a lot of er Oasis, Stone Roses, The Smiths. Watching making a murderer, anything, Big Mouth, anything really.

And what do you do to stay mentally well, do you have any wellbeing habits that you?

I see my boyfriend a lot that helps a lot, just listening to music, watching TV helps as well, that’s it really.

Exercise, nutrition?

No I don’t exercise, I probably should but I don’t.

And yeah aspirations for the future?

When I finish uni I wanna go into a medical degree, then I can move into training to become a pathologist.

Cool, what in life are you most grateful for?

Family.

Amazing, thank you.
